Do you have a waiting list?
We currently have a waiting list for a variety of our services. We first meet for a free intake interview to assess your needs and the needs of your family. If you need help and there is a waitlist for that service, it is suggested to get on a few waitlists so you receive services as soon as possible. When we have an opening for therapy you will be matched with a therapist who will offer services.
How do I get my child assessed?
In order to have an assessment in any of our services (Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy or Applied Behavior Analysis), we offer a free initial intake meeting to discuss your needs and the services we offer. On our website, you can fill out the intake form and we will contact you within the next 24 hours to discuss a date and time for our meeting.
We do not yet offer diagnostic assessment services. If you believe your child may have Autism, and is between 16 months – 30 months of age, this screener may be discussed with your healthcare provider. Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers, Revised (M-CHAT-R™) | Autism Speaks A diagnosis would have to be completed by a Psychologist/Neuropsychologist. Should you have concerns, contact a social worker in your area to guide you to getting on a list for governmental services.
What methods do you use?
We offer services that treat the family as a whole with a diverse collection of therapies such as music therapy, art therapy, counseling, and support groups, as well as Occupational therapy, Speech Therapy, and ABA Therapy. Our ABA program combines Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) Verbal behavior(VB), and Naturalistic Teaching (NET) methods, focusing on the learner’s strengths and enhancing communication. We have an approach to treating, not only the individual but the family as a whole.
What is your cancellation policy?
To cancel a scheduled Therapy session, a minimum of 24 hours in advance of your session is required. If prior and timely notification is not given, you will be charged the full session fee for the missed session.
Who are your Therapists?
At La Ruche, our therapists are trained, licensed, experienced therapists with a Master’s degree in their field (OT, SLP, BCBA). In ABA, our Intervention Therapists/Integration specialists are trained in ABA and supervised by our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our lead therapists train junior staff members, families, and supervisors, assign roles and monitor any changes and progress that take place. A junior staff member implements the programs that are set up by senior staff members.
What makes you different from other therapy centers/clinics?
Therapists typically focus on treating the individual as opposed to treating the entire family as a whole. We believe that when every family member is okay, the individual with Autism soars. With years of direct experience and service, we have helped hundreds of individuals reach their full potential by creating meaningful and lasting change over a lifetime.
